The Experience: Life on the Ranch
The Experience
At Bad Company Beef, we believe ranching is more than raising cattle — it’s about sharing the land, the history, and the way of life. Through Pierce Ranch House and our unique events, we invite guests to experience ranch life firsthand. From hands-on retreats to farm-to-table dinners, each visit offers a chance to connect with nature, community, and the cattle that make it all possible.
Pierce Ranch House
Built in 1886, the historic Pierce Ranch House has been carefully restored by our family into a welcoming venue for lodging and special events.
The Ranch House is more than a place to stay — it’s a way to step into history. Guests experience life on a working cattle ranch while enjoying modern comfort. Weddings, gatherings, and community events all find a home here, under the same roof that has stood for generations.
Boot Camps & Retreats
Our ranch is also a place for renewal. We look forward to hosting crafting groups, writers’ workshops, yoga retreats, and cooking classes, along with specialized gatherings like PTSD support groups and school field trips. Surrounded by open skies and quiet pastures, guests find peace and perspective in nature.
For those who want a challenge, we’re dreaming up a women’s ranch boot camp — where fitness meets farm life. Imagine a workout that includes carrying feed, mending fences, and helping with real ranch chores.
We also aim to offer educational seminars on topics like regenerative grazing and environmental stewardship, giving guests a chance to learn up close from our cattle and land management practices.
Ranch to Table Dinners
Few experiences are as memorable as dining under the oak trees at sunset. Our Ranch to Table Dinners bring the community together in the fall and spring to enjoy beef raised right here on the ranch.
Guests savor expertly prepared steak and veal dishes, paired with local sides and shared around long tables set against the backdrop of grazing cattle. As the sun dips low and the air cools, conversation flows and neighbors connect — celebrating food, fellowship, and the ranching way of life.
Day Trips
Looking for a shorter visit? Our Day Trips offer a taste of ranch life in just a few hours. Guests might tour the ranch, walk through grazing pastures, meet cattle up close, or join in seasonal ranch chores.
Each trip is tailored to the group — whether it’s a school outing, writers’ workshop, yoga class, or community retreat. Meals prepared from ranch beef and time spent outdoors round out the day, leaving visitors refreshed and inspired.
